New national website for cancer workforce career development

The ACCEND Course Explorer launched in March 2026 providing training and resources to support learning and career development for those working in cancer care.

The easy-to-use Course Explorer brings together education, training opportunities and useful resources from across the UK that link directly to the Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development (ACCEND) framework.

The SYB Cancer Alliance was among those in the Task & Finish Group that helped develop the site.

Included on the website:

Course Finder: Search for cancer courses by trust, topic, or ACCEND level of practice. This helps you find the right learning for your role and career goals.

• Capabilities Explorer: See how different courses map to ACCEND capabilities. You can filter by domain, level of practice and more to find the most relevant learning.
• Level of Practice Tool: Answer a few quick questions to get a suggested ACCEND level of practice. This can help you understand where you are now and identify your next steps.
• Directory of Resources: Browse extra courses, tools and learning resources recommended by ACCEND working groups, including e-learning and guidance to support your development.
