World Cancer Day every 4 February is the global initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to raise worldwide awareness, improving education and catalyse action against cancer.

Created in 2000, World Cancer Day has grown into a positive movement for everyone, everywhere to unite under one voice to fight cancer.

This year's World Cancer Day's theme was ‘I Am and I Will', which is all about you and your commitment to act.

This year the SYBICS Cancer Alliance used World Cancer Day to continue spreading the messages of the #HelpUsHelpYou campaign which raises the importance of seeking medical help during the Coronavrius pandemic.

See our two videos below from our co-chair and clinical director who discuss their goals for the year and highlight the importance of visiting your GP if you are worried you may be showing the signs or symptoms of cancer.
